How to convert feet to meters: multiply by 0.3048. meters = feet × 0.3048
How to convert meters to feet: divide by 0.3048, or multiply by 3.28084. feet = meters × 3.28084
Worked example: a chain link fence 6 ft high is 6 × 0.3048 = 1.8288 m, which is why it is sold as the 1.8 m height. A 30 m roll of welded mesh is 30 × 3.28084 = 98.43 ft long.
